Thailand-Malaysia Bilateral Cooperation – Adoption of Industry 4.0 Digital Technology to Increase Productivity

Thailand and Malaysia applied to APO for the Bilateral Cooperation Between NPOs (BCBN) program this year, and the delegates visited Taiwan to see the outcome of its implementation of smart machinery, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0. It’s hoped to map out the optimal cooperation mode for both parties in the smart manufacturing industry through the visit of and exchange among the benchmarking enterprises. Taiwan representatives accompanied the delegates to visit the Smart Manufacturing Experience Ba of the CPC Central Regional Office, Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation, Taichung Smart Machinery Promotion Office, Smart Manufacturing Pilot Center of Taichung City Precision Machinery Innovation Technology Park, Hiwin Technologies Corp. and Fair Friend Group. During the visit, delegates had a grasp of the fact that the system technology and integration capability in Taiwan have kept abreast with the international standards. Moreover, the outstanding system integration service providers create the cluster advantage for the entire machinery industry and expand the future business cooperation opportunities for the industry chains at home and abroad.
