SME Smart Industrial Application Seminar

The seminar was conducted in the form of lectures given by experts, case studies and group discussions with an aim to equip the participants with basic knowledge of digitalization, Industry 4.0 and other related technology applications. It also helps the participants from different countries learn and identify the technology applications suitable for their countries, thereby assisting the SMEs to accelerate the Industry 4.0 process. Furthermore, the national reports published by the countries helped promote multilateral exchange and establish a platform for sharing the SMEs development of various countries and the experiences of individual participants. Four lecturers were invited to give lectures in the seminar, namely Dr. Ananth Seshan, Dr. Koh Niak Wu, Lecturer Boey Lin Fong and Lecturer Chan Chia-Ming. Dr. Ananth Seshan, lecturer from Canada, has extensive experience in providing business intelligence solutions and improvement programs. Dr. Koh Niak Wu and Boey Lin Fong, lecturers from Singapore, work as enterprise consultant and data analysis expert, respectively, and both specialize in enhancing the business productivity, energy efficiency and business development. Chan Chia-Ming, lecturer from Taiwan, works for Metal Industries Research and Development Centre and is well familiar with the industrial development status and policies of Taiwan. The lectures given by these four lecturers with their expertise and experiences helped participants learn the knowledge and applications of Industry 4.0, covering comprehensive industrial upgrading process.
