Individual-country Observational Study Mission on Japan Food Education

The observational study aimed to learn the complete operating system of Japan Food Education and visit the Japan Food Education Promotion Conference (the 13th National Food Education Promotion Conference in Oita) to observe and study the latest food education promotion status. The study also revolved around the school lunch system and nutrition education, as well as the process of food education promotion on campus. Moreover, the study observed the educational objectives achieved through the implementation of the school lunch system and the system promotion experience. It’s hoped that the knowledge and ideas acquired through the observational study can be applied to solve the bottleneck encountered by our agriculture sector at the current stage. After the observational study mission returned to Taiwan, relevant domestic organizations and experts were invited to the seminar and shared the Japanese school lunch system practices. The seminar also discussed the reform on school lunch system in Taiwan and the difficulties of supplying food ingredients to the elementary schools located in remote areas and the countermeasures.
