Through this conference, APO member countries continued to exchange information and paid attention to the topic of biofertilizers and biopesticides. The reports made by the delegates of the member countries and group discussion events provided great benefits for the regulatory coherence, good product trading and industry development. On the third day of the event, the conference arranged a tour visit for the international attendees to the COA’s Kaohsiung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, Taiwan Banana Research Institute (TBRI), and TBRI’s affiliated industry application field for an understanding of the development of agricultural inoculants and integrated pest management (IPM) in Taiwan. Furthermore, the Agricultural Technology Research Institute is developing an Asia-Pacific biofertilizer and biopesticide online information platform in accordance with the 4th ICBB conference conclusions in the hope of sharing and exchanging the industry-academia information with APO member countries. The platform structure and its mode of operation were introduced in a presentation on the first day of the conference session and received wide support from students and speakers. We hope to finish platform testing and complete the preparation for online operations before the last meeting session of this conference.
