APO Green Technical Service Team experts provided a diagnosis of the water supply issue in India and signed a MOU on water treatment technology transfer.

The APO Green Technical Service Team paid another visit to India in August. Taiwan-based Green Technical Service Team for this trip is consisted of Taiwan Environmental Manufacturers Association (TEMA), Taiwan Environmental Engineering Association (TEEA), ITRI Division of Water Technology Research and HT Green Technologies, all A-listers in the wastewater treatment industry. The trip began in Chennai, where the service team experts visited wastewater treatment plants under Tamil Nadu Water Investment Company (TWIC) and the Southern India Skin and Hide Merchants Association (SISHMA), followed by more water treatment plant visits in New Delhi. The Green Technical Service Team provided technical advice on water treatment, recycling toxics derived from wastewater treatment, green technologies and IoT-enabled smart control systems.

The service team proceeded to attend the Second Taiwan-India Industrial Collaboration Summit on August 29th, and signed three memoranda of understanding to collaborate with Indian partners. Chen Che-Yang, vice director of ITRI Material and Chemical Research Laboratories, signed two memoranda of understanding to collaborate with TWIC and SISHMA, respectively, on water treatment, recycling toxics derived from wastewater treatment, green technologies and IoT-enabled smart control systems. In addition, Kao Keng-Tsuan, chairperson of TEMA, also signed an MOU to collaborate with SISHMA on green technology-enabled water treatment and IoT-enabled smart control systems.
