The Green Technical Service Team of Asian Productivity Organization co-hosted the "Taiwan-Vietnam Circular Economy Forum" in Ho Chi Minh City with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Support Center 2 (SMEDEC2) of Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology in July. Keynote speakers include the Director of VEA Southern Environment Monitoring Center and the Supervisor of ITRI Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center.
The event was reported by local news media, such as Ho Chi Minh City TV Stations and Saigon Entrepreneurs.
The participating enterprises, including Super Dragon Technology Co., Ltd., Singway Technology Co., Ltd., Ecotech Solutions Inc., and Cheng Loong Corporation, were invited to share the achievements of electronics and home appliance waste recycling and green factories in Taiwan. This activity also included a visit to the Joint Waste Treatment Zone of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd. (BIWASE), Ho Chi Minh City Urban Environment Co., Ltd. (CITENCO), Ho Chi Minh City Recycling Social Enterprise Revival Waste and other enterprises.
Vietnamese enterprises expressed their interest to carry out technical cooperation with Taiwanese enterprises and learn from Taiwan's sound recycling system in the hope of promoting the recycling of high-end electronic waste in Vietnam, jointly developing the local market in Vietnam, and creating cooperation opportunities for the environmental service providers of both sides.
